"Prince from Minneapolis" will be held April 16-18, 2018, mostly in the Humphrey Center of Public Affairs and nearby buildings at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. It will coincide with other events commemorating the work and life of Prince that whole week, starting Saturday, April 14. For a list of events, see the list compiled by The People of Paisley Park. On Monday April 16 at 5 p.m. we have our opening keynote by Jeff Chang, Daphne Brooks, and special guests in the Carlson Family Stage at the Northrop Auditorium. All papers are scheduled in 75-minute sessions (each with four thematically related papers) on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 17 and 18, from 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. on the West Bank of the U of M campus. Many other Prince-related activities are being planned in the Twin Cities, including community events on the Saturday and Sunday before the symposium starts and the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday after.
